AKIPRESS.COM - President of the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) at the meeting with Chief of Staff of the President's Office of Kyrgyzstan Sapar Isakov on May 19 expressed readiness to support Kyrgyz aviation and contribute to development of the Kyrgyz aviation, Tazabek reports referring to the press service of the President's Office.
Mr Olumuyiwa Benard Aliu also noted that Kyrgyzstan to date is among those countries improving the air safety.
The talks addressed measures on introducing international standards and the recommended practices of the ICAO to ensure integrated aviation security in Kyrgyzstan. In particular, special attention was paid to the issues of ensuring financial independence and increasing efficiency of activities of the Civil Aviation Agency of Kyrgyzstan.
Isakov said that the relevant bodies of Kyrgyzstan are tasked to implement a set of measures on improving international safety standards.
