AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov and his Iranian counterpart Javad Zarif signed a cooperation plan for 2018-2019 as the two met in Tehran on October 17, the Uzbek foreign ministry said.
During the meeting, the foreign ministers of Uzbekistan and Iran discussed topical aspects of bilateral cooperation, exchanged views on international and regional policy issues, the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.
The sides confirmed their readiness to strengthen and develop relations in all areas of mutual interest.
The Ministers considered the prospects for cooperation between Uzbekistan and Iran within the UN, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and other international structures.
After the talks, Abdulaziz Kamilov and Javad Zarif signed a cooperation program for 2018-2019 between the Foreign Ministries of Uzbekistan and Iran.
