Ukraine does not consider denunciation of agreements on Russian Black Sea Fleet in Crimea

AKIPRESS.COM - Deshchytsa Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrei Deshchytsa has claimed that Kiev intends to resolve the crisis in Crimea through diplomatic means, as well as does not consider possible denunciation of agreements on the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Crimea.

“We do not discuss the issue at the governmental level. However, both the Parliament and experts make various proposals including possible denunciation of these agreements or accession to NATO. Still, the government stands for peaceful settlement of the issue,” Andrei Deshchytsa said in interview for Interfax Ukraine.

Kiev is currently working to expand the circle of countries that support Ukraine and ready to take decisive actions against Russia to stop the aggression, he continued. “Our main task is to de-escalate the situation, and then we'll talk about the conditions of the Black Sea Fleet in Ukraine.”

The Acting Foreign Minister added Ukraine submits facts of violations of its legislation by Russian military to international partners. “We provide UN with photos, videos made by journalists,” he said.
