Opposition protesters in Thailand come to march in Bangkok

AKIPRESS.COM - thailand protests Anti-government Thai protesters led by opposition leader Suthep Thyaksubana left their tent camp in Central Lumpini Park of Bangkok on Monday morning and went on a march through the streets of the city, hoping to attract local residents to the rally scheduled for March 29, RIA Novosti reported.

The protesters visited Bangkok's Hua Lamphong train station and headed down the street to return in a tent camp at noon.

Anti-government protests in Bangkok continue from October last year. By mid-February, the number of protesters dropped sharply due to outflow of the capital's residents and fulfilling main requirements: dissolution of the parliament, government's resignation and breakdown of new parliamentary elections. Currently, mainly residents of the southern provinces of Thailand and opposition supporters protest.

The protest leaders continue to call for a final withdrawal of Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, as well as for a reform against populism and dictatorship in parliament and politics.
