Oleksandr Turchynov signs decree on withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from Crimea, Sevastopol

AKIPRESS.COM - Ukr military Acting President of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov signed a decree on redeployment of Ukrainian military units disposed in Crimea.

Earlier, the Security and Defense Council of Ukraine instructed the Ministry of Defense to withdraw soldiers from Crimea.

The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Andriy Parubiy, will monitor implementation of the process.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry reported that around 50% of Ukrainian military personnel in Crimea changed side to Russia.

Deputy Chief of the Command Center Alexander Rozmaznin noticed that some Ukrainian military units remain unseized by Russia, but did not specify their locations.

In addition, three Ukrainian ships locked in the Donuzlav Lake remain true to the oath of Ukraine. However, the ships cannot be brought into the open sea. The Defense Ministry does not consider their possible flooding.
