Prime Minister of Armenia resigns

AKIPRESS.COM - Tigran Sargsyan Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan has tendered a letter of resignation, Oratert reported citing the spokesman for the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), Eduard Sharmazanov.

The move was discussed and accepted at the RPA executive body’s meeting. “Prime Minister Sargsyan, according to his own initiative and application, which we treat with respect, fulfilled his function and submitted his resignation,” the spokesman said.

The resignation was not connected with the motion of no-confidence that the opposition has planned to initiate soon, he stressed.
