Competitors from 19 countries participated in the Transylvania Horse Show this weekend, the biggest international equestrian competition organized in Romania, in the Prod village (299 km north of Bucharest), Nine O'Clock reported.
Representatives of the International Federation for Equestrian Sports also presented at the competition.
The Transylvania Horse Show hosted three types of tournaments: Eventing International; Eventing Cup of Romania – Novices category; and the AIEC Student Riders Nation Cup – Romania 2014, organized in collaboration with the Association Internationale des Etudiants Cavaliers (AIEC).
Thus, the winner of the AIEC Student Riders Nation Cup – Romania 2014 was Dutch student Marcia Dominicus, while the silver medal was claimed by Irish rider Tori Dicson, and the bronze went to Austrian student Katharina Wilding. In the competition by teams, the gold was claimed by Ireland.
The International Federation for Equestrian Sports was represented by the technical delegate Andrew Griffiths (UK), while Belgian referee Michel Van Gerwen was jury president.
The Transylvania Horse Show team is preparing another international equestrian tournament to run during October 3-5 on the Cantacuzino estate in Floresti (Prahova County).
