UK’s Cameron, Russia’s Putin to hold talks

AKIPRESS.COM - david cameron vladimir putin British Prime Minister David Cameron and Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold face-to-face talks this week, amid tensions sparked by the Ukraine crisis – and Prince Charles reportedly comparing Putin to Adolf Hitler, Miami Herald said.

The two leaders will meet Friday in Normandy, France, where both will attend events to mark the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings.

The talks would be an opportunity “to set out the importance of a dialogue between the Russian Government and the new Ukrainian Government” following last month's presidential election in Ukraine. Britain opposed Crimea’s annexation to Russia and has accused Moscow of fomenting instability in eastern Ukraine.

During a visit to Canada last month, Prince Charles reportedly compared Putin's actions in Ukraine to those of Hitler.
