Nigeria impressed during the first half and had taken the lead on 19 minutes but Emmanuel Emenike’s goal was ruled offside in a tight decision.

The game was almost to hit extra time until Paul Pogba headed home the ball after a failed punch out by Vincent Enyema in the 79th minute.

France added a second in injury time as Joseph Yobo deflected a Valbuena cross into his own net.
