Joint naval exercises of Kazakhstan and Russia in Caspian Sea come to an end

AKIPRESS.COM - Join naval exercises of Kazakhstan and Russia in the Caspian Sea ended today, the training was attended by a tactical group of rocket-artillery ships of the countries, the press service of the Minsitry of Defense of Kazakhstan reported on October 8.

A tactical grouping of warships made of the Dagestan missile-carrying guard ship, the Grad Sviyazhsk small missile-carrying ship from the Caspian flotilla and the Kazakhstan and Oral artillery gunships of Kazakhstan’s Navy held joint war games protecting maritime economic facilities.

Warships drilled joint sea maneuvers, their crews had separate and joint fire drills on sea and air targets. A buoyant mine was destroyed amid resistance of an imaginary enemy’s aviation steered by Kazakh military pilots.

Commander in Chief of the Naval Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan Rear Admiral Zhandarbek Zhanzakov said all participants showed good results. The best participants were awarded.

The next exercises will be held in the Russian Federation.
