Eurasian Union must establish single payment system - Belarusian PM

AKIPRESS.COM - cu Eurasian Economic Union must increase the use of national currencies in international settlements and establish a single payment system, Belarusian Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich said on Thursday, reports BelTA.

“There is a need to strengthen the national payment systems and an urgent establishment of a single payment system of the Eurasian Economic Union,” including higher mutual lending and financing in national currencies, he said.

He said he and Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev "had the same approaches concerning almost all issues.”

The Eurasian Economic Union is a political and economic union which was established on 29 May 2014 between Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia.
