AKIPRESS.COM - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan met with newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Turkmenistan Mr. Khalid Bin Faisal Al-Sahli on December 8, reports the MFA.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Ambassador presented copies of his credentials. Noting the high level of political and diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the sides discussed issues of strengthening political dialogue at the highest level.

During the meeting, noting the importance of expanding the legal base and the interaction of the business circles of the two countries, sides expressed interest in further expansion of cooperation within international organizations, in the development of the potential of bilateral cooperation in trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian fields.

In this context, the sides stressed the significance of political consultations between the Foreign Ministries of the two countries that are important mechanism of promoting mutually beneficial cooperation. The Ambassador assured that he would put all his efforts to further development and strengthening of bilateral cooperation.
