AKIPRESS.COM - Ambassador of Lithuania to Turkmenistan with residence in Baku Valdas Lastauskas presented the copies of his credential letters to the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan, the Ministry said in a release on December 10.

The sides discussed the status and prospects of bilateral relations between Turkmenistan and Lithuania, including within the framework of expanding the dialogue Turkmenistan - European Union, cooperation in the authoritative international organizations, primarily the UN.

Particular attention was paid to the economic aspects of bilateral cooperation in energy, communications and transport.

The sides underlined the need for further improvement of the legal framework between the two countries, including through regular meetings and consultations, exchange of business visits.
