AKIPRESS.COM - Turkmen-German political consultations were held on December 10 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany was headed by the Commissioner of the Ministry for Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia, Mr. Cord Meyer-Klodt.

During the session, the sides discussed the state and prospects of bilateral relations, including in the format of "Turkmenistan-European Union", the issues of interaction within international organizations, global and regional issues, the situation in Afghanistan and other topics of mutual interest.

It was noted that regular Turkmen-German contacts at various levels demonstrate the commitment of the parties to consistently develop the traditionally friendly relations between the two countries in almost all spheres of cooperation.

Special attention was paid to the issues of cooperation in trade, economic, financial and technical fields.

The sides also exchanged views on the implementation of joint projects in the cultural and educational spheres.
