AKIPRESS.COM - Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov has sent a letter of condolences to President of Indonesia Joko Widodo in connection with the AirAsia jet crash.

The Airbus A320-200, carrying 162 people, disappeared more than a week ago shortly after leaving Surabaya in eastern Java on its way to Singapore.

The plane is believed to get crashed in shallow waters off Indonesia. The divers will attempt today to locate large objects on the ocean floor believed to be the fuselage of the AirAsia flight.

The President of Turkmenistan on behalf of the people and the Government has expressed the sympathy and support to the families and friends of the victims.
