AKIPRESS.COM - Senior warrant officer Sergey Basalov has had over 1000 parachute jumps in 22 years of service, so far this is a record for the airmobile forces of Kazakhstan, reports the Central Communications Service under the President of Kazakhstan.
Basalov has served in the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan since the establishment of the army of Kazakhstan. He mastered 12 types of parachute systems, 4 types of ram-air gliding parachute and hand glider. Being an instructor of parachute training he trained over 200 people.
The servicemen of the airmobile forces have the grades in terms of their experience. A paratrooper makes about 4-5 parachute jumps a year from different heights up to 3500 meters.
“It does not matter how many parachute jumps we have had, a new one always scares you and it is something considered to be normal. Therefore, the emotional state of paratroopers is very important. The servicemen always undertake psychological tests. Besides, we have to pass tests on rules of the parachute jump process,” Basalov said.
The purpose of the parachute jump is operational commitment. Training parachute jumping paratroopers try to make the process automatic.
