Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan agree on construction of TASIM`s underwater segment

Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan have agreed on the construction of the underwater segment of the Trans-Eurasian Information Super Highway (TASIM), Minister of Communications and High Technologies of Azerbaijan Ali Abbasov told journalists, reports Azertag.
The Minister said a contract with Kazakhstan is planned to be signed in the first half of 2015, and the construction work can begin by late 2015.
The TASIM Project involves the countries such as Russia (Rostelecom), Kazakhstan (KazTransCom), Turkey (TurkTelecom), and China (ChinaTelecom). Azerbaijan in the project is represented by the Center of International Relations and Calculations of the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies.
