In 2014, the company said that it had planned opening of McDonald's in the second half of 2015.

However, due to the issues around the future restaurant's building, which will be inactive cinema "Alatau", the opening has delayed until 2016.

The first restaurant will have at least 100 employees.

"At present, employees recruited in the cities of Astana and Almaty are being trained in existing restaurant chains in Russia as future managers of McDonald's in Kazakhstan," the company said.
