A high-level mission of Kazakhstan will seek in Cuba next week opportunities that contribute to expand bilateral relations in the economic sphere, Chamber of Commerce of Cuba said.
The Kazakh delegation will be led by Foreign Minister Erlan Idrissov accompanied by the Minister of Investment and Development and the Minister of Energy.
Rapil Zhoshibayev, Kazakh Deputy Foreign Minister and Commissioner for the 2017 EXPO of Astana, will join the delegaion, which according to the program should hold exchanges with Cuban authorities on the 30th in a bilateral business forum.
Met in Havana, the parties will sign a cooperation agreement between the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba and the National Agency for Export and Investments of Kazakhstan, Cuba News reported.
Aimed at promoting business opportunities opened by Cuba to foreign investment, representatives of tourism, renewable energy and the oil industry will present the projects prioritized by the country in these key sectors in order to boost their development.
Likewise, officials of the Special Development Zone of Mariel will present the legal regime approved to attract greater flows of foreign capital.
Although not officially confirmed yet, the Cuban Chamber of Commerce announced that, also on September 30, a meeting between Cuban and Vietnamese businessmen, on the occasion of the visit the President of that Asian nation will pay to the island, will take place at Havana's Hotel Nacional de Cuba.
