Almaty will host the V Central Asian Trade Forum on October 28 - 29, the EBRD announced.
The Central Asian Trade Forum is the region’s largest annual gathering of exporters.
This two-day event will gather more than 400 government officials, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), business associations, international organizations, trade promotion agencies, and industry experts from around the world to expand export capacity, increase competitive advantage, analyze the rapidly changing trade environment in Central Asia (impact of currency devaluation in Central Asia, WTO and Eurasian Economic Union memberships, etc.) and conclude trade deals.
The Central Asian Trade Forum has been instrumental in forging vital trade linkages for the past four years by offering business-to-business networking opportunities among entrepreneurs and facilitating the development of cross-border trade.
This year’s Forum will continue to facilitate export partnership opportunities and encourage cross-border trade among Central Asian and South Asian entrepreneurs, business associations, and firms to strengthen the export competitiveness of the Central Asian states.
In addition to business-to-business networking opportunities, the event will also feature plenary sessions, technical seminars, master classes, and its own Trade Exhibition to showcase products from participating companies and the “Best Exporter of the Central Asian Trade Forum” contest to recognize entrepreneurial achievements and innovations among Central Asian firms.
