China, Russia and Mongolia have signed a string of cross-border tourism cooperation agreements as part of efforts to promote the construction of an economic corridor that spans the three countries, People's Daily Online reports.
The 10 cooperation projects, worth $220 million, were signed by government authorities and enterprises during the first China-Mongolia Expo, which opened last week in Hohhot, capital of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
The projects include cross-border tourism route development and tourism personnel training in addition to hotel and resort zone construction. The trilateral cooperation relates specifically to a tourism route linking Hohhot, Ulaanbaatar, Ulan-Ude and Irkutsk.
