Man suspected of murdering migrant boy in Berlin 'confesses to second killing'

AKIPRESS.COM - The man has confessed to killing a six-year-old boy who went missing from near his parents' home in Potsdam, outside Berlin, in July, according to prosecutors' spokesman Stefan Stoehr.

The 32-year-old German was arrested on Thursday at his mother's house in Brandenburg, near Berlin.

Police said he confessed to killing four-year-old Bosnian boy Mohamed Januzi, who was abducted this month from the capital's central registration centre for migrants.

A boy's body was found in the boot of his car and a post-mortem examination is being conducted.

The suspect was arrested at his family's house after he was reported to police by his mother.

Officers said in a statement that the suspect said he killed the boy on October 2, the day after his abduction.

Authorities have not speculated on a motive, but have said there is no evidence that the suspect had any xenophobic feelings or any link to far-right groups, reports Independent.
