This year was very intense both for the UN system and the whole country, UNDP Resident Representative Alexander Avanessov said at the annual discussion of the United Nations Development Praogramme's results on December 8.
This year was largely related with preparations for the elections. The elections were successful, they did not lead to any conflicts and protests, he added.
The 2030 agenda was adopted throughout a year, it was actively discussed, the UNDP Resident Representative went on saying.
It is not for nothing the number of goals grew from 8 to 17, 169 sub-goals and over 600 indicators that should be used to see whether progress towards the goal is achieved or not, he explained.
It is necessary to design a good evaluation system. It will allow to understand in what direction Kyrgyzstan is moving. Prioritization is another important thing amid formulation of the sustainable development strategy. A new sustainable development strategy should be developed after 2017, Mr. Avanessov emphasized.
