The claim was followed by a lot of criticism by both ordinary people and well-known people.

Some people on Twitter compared him to Harry Potter villain Lord Voldemort.

But the author J.K. Rowling thinks the comparison is unfair. "Voldemort isn't that bad."

The tweet has amassed some 50,000 retweets in three hours. 

"Voldemort wanted to kill and/or enslave every single muggle, and people still think Trump is worse," Distractify.com wrote.
