At least 1,500 small and medium businesses were subsidized in 2016 through the Damu Fund, Chairwoman of the Board of JSC Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund Lyazzat Ibragimova told the CCS media briefing on Monday, reports the press service of the Kazakh prime minister.
"In 2016, the number of entrepreneurs to receive state support is less than 1.5 thousand people. The support will be given in conjunction with our partner banks and mayors," Ibragimova said.
"We will receive 28 billion tenge for development of subsidy tools. In addition, in December, resources at 7.2 billion tenge have been received from the National Fund to subsidize loans taken for working capital," she said.
She recalled that entrepreneurs can apply for necessary means not only to banks but also to microfinance institutions.
