Air Liquide set to build air separation unit in Inner Mongolia

AKIPRESS.COM - Air Liquide Air Liquide will invest €60 mln to build an Air Separation Unit (ASU) in Dalateqi of Ordos City, Inner Mongolia to supply industrial gases to ENN Ecological Holdings Company, reports Chemicals Technology.

The company has signed a long-term deal with Xinneng Energy Company, a subsidiary of ENN Ecological Holdings Company to supply gases.

The plant will commence operations in the second quarter of 2018, with a capacity of 2,700 t of oxygen per day.

Industrial gases, including oxygen and nitrogen supplied by the plant, will be used by ENN Ecological's Light Hydrocarbon Project.

Ecological's Light Hydrocarbon Project produces 200,000 t per year of light hydrocarbon.

The plant will be owned and operated by Air Liquide and will use advanced technologies.
