The solar solutions provider Clenergy connected a photovoltaic park with a capacity of 20 MW in Guyang, Inner Mongolia, to the grid, reports Sun & Wind Energy.
The installation was performed amidst harsh weather conditions, such as blizzards, within 100 days and grid connection took place at the end of December.
The solar park is expected to generate approximately 32,000 MWh in its first year of operation due to a relatively high solar radiation. With this, the PV plant would save 8,700 tons of standard coal and reduce carbon emissions by 43,300 tons of CO2.
