Prime Minister of Mongolia Chimed Saikhanbileg issued a decree to address the measles outbreak and stop spread of the disease that has already killed 59 children in the last three months.
Saikhanbileg ordered to create an emergency workgroup to evaluate the conditions of measles outbreak throughout the nation and to organize activities to prevent its spread.
He also tasked local authorities to manage at-home medical examinations and provide vaccination every Saturday for children under 12 month until July 1.
The Prime Minister ordered to allocate 982 million togrog (around US$497.7 thousand) from the public budget for decontamination, sanitization, fuel payments, and extra hour payments of hospital staff.
