AKIPRESS.COM - India's Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan, who is leading a parliamentary delegation to Mongolia, inaugurated operation of the BHABHATRON II radiotherapy machine donated by India for cancer treatment, The Statesman reports.
Speaking on the occasion, Mahajan hoped that this cutting-edge technology would serve the needy in Mongolia.
The machine, installed in National Cancer Center of Mongolia, has been indigenously developed by Bhabha Atomic Research Center (BARC). Having efficient performance parameters and improved user interface, its lower power consumption and battery back-up makes it suitable for rural and far-flung areas.
