Belarus is ready to discuss a wide range of issues related to mutually beneficial cooperation with Turkmenistan in the context of the complicated situation in the world, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said during the talks with Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov on May 11, reports BelTA.
The President of Belarus stressed that he is glad to welcome the honored guest from Turkmenistan in Belarus. He also noted with satisfaction that he likes visiting Turkmenistan. “I am always impressed by the innovations in Ashgabat, we even start to adopt the best practices of yours. At the same time, we share our best practices with you,” Alexander Lukashenko said.
Alexander Lukashenko underlined importance of Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov's visit to Minsk. He remarked that the negotiations should focus on the bilateral cooperation, “the situation in the world and its impact on the Belarusian-Turkmen relations”.
It is also necessary to think what the countries can do next to overcome negative trends affecting them.
The Belarusian leader focused on the complicated situation in the world. “We are the states which depend on the global situation. All the countries depend on it more or less,” he said. “Therefore, we need to discuss a lot of issues. The more often we meet, the more issues we need to discuss. We have productive discussions, make decisions and respond promptly,” the Belarusian leader noted.
