The parliamentary committee on social policy, education, culture and science decided to select Sambuu Lambaa as the new Minister of Health and Sports of Mongolia, according to News.mn.
During the meeting, the parliamentary committee's members cast 94.7% of affirmative votes for Lambaa.
Lambaa is the current State Secretary of Ministry of Health and Sports. Moreover, he had already been the Health Minister in the government of Sukhbaataryn Batbold, who was Prime Minister of Mongolia from 2009 to 2012.
Sambuu Lambaa will have a month or so in the hot seat until the parliamentary elections in the country.
Former Minister of Health and Sports of Mongolia Gankhuyag Shiilegdamba was arrested on corruption charges in November 2015. He was released on bail a month later.
