Supreme Court of Mongolia allows Civil Will Green Party to participate in elections

AKIPRESS.COM - The Supreme Court of Mongolia has allowed the Civil Will Green Party to participate in the 2016 parliamentary elections, says News.mn.

Earlier, the Civil Will Green Party took the General Electoral Commission to court, contesting its decision to ban the political party from participating in the elections. Following the Supreme Court's decision, the Civil Will Green Party announced that they will enter the elections alone (not in an alliance) and has started to choose the candidates.

It is still unclear whether the General Electoral Commission will accept the Supreme Court’s decision or not.

Yesterday, 11 political parties and 3 political alliances presented the documents of their candidates to the General Electoral Commission.
