The foreign affairs ministers of Mongolia and Myanmar discussed the agreement in Naypyidaw on June 15 and signed a memorandum of understanding, Myanmar Times reported referring to a press conference after a meeting between President Htin Kyaw and his Mongolian counterpart Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj.
“When the visa exemption begins, normal passport holders will be able to travel easily between Myanmar and Mongolia,” the press conference said.
It is still, however, unclear when the deal will go into effect.
