CICA member states discuss security strengthening in Asian region

AKIPRESS.COM - 20160701121142 Representatives of the member states of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) gathered in Astana to discuss the further strengthening of security in the region, according to Kazinform.

Kazakhstan proposed to move on in accordance with the principles of the Manifesto: The World. The 21st Century by Nursultan Nazarbayev.

The Manifesto is aimed at dealing with regional and global problems. Therefore, it can be used as a document in maintaining peace in the region, according to the Minister of Culture and Sport of Kazakhstan.

"Favorable conditions for development of languages, cultures and traditions of all ethnic groups [should be created]," added Arystanbek Mukhamediuly.

The CICA member states reached an understanding that the peace and security in Asia can be reached only through dialogue and cooperation.
