Kazakh Otgontsetseg Galbadrakh won bronze in women's 48-kg category ion Saturday and her countryman, Yeldos Smetov, came away with silver in the men's 60-kg.
Argentina's Paula Pareto won the gold in women's 48-kg.
Galbadrakh, for her part, lost 100-10 to Japan's Ami Kondo in the quarterfinals but recovered to score wins over Hungary's Eva Csernoviczki and then Cuba's Dayaris Mestre Alvarez to claim bronze.
In the men's extra-lightweight category, Smetov notched victories over Uzbekistan's Diyorbek Urozboev in the quarterfinals and Azerbaijan's Orkhan Safarov in the semifinals but fell short by a score of 10-0 against Russia's Beslan Mudranov in the gold medal match.
