Bishkek will host on September 23-25 the VI fair of halal producers and services, the Chamber of Commerce of Kyrgyzstan said.
The producers will showcase their meat and meat products; milk and milk products; flour and flour products; confectionery products; medicine and cosmetics; honey; soft drinks and juices; and services of halal standard.
Presentations of participating companies will be held on the sidelines of the fair, Tazabek reports.
Halal, meaning 'permissible' in Arabic, means food or any other product for consumption and sale adheres to Islamic law, as defined in the Koran.
For example, the Islamic form of slaughtering animals or poultry, dhabiha, involves killing through a cut to the jugular vein, carotid artery and windpipe.
Halal is increasingly popular in Kyrgyzstan lately as it can be seen on market shelves and restaurants of the country.
