Uzbekistan to create tank service centers

AKIPRESS.COM - Uzbekistan plans to create the service centers for military equipment, because there are many T-62 and T-72 tanks in the country and the military bodies of Uzbekistan are interested in maintenance of these tanks, reports the Parlamentskaya Gazeta.

During the plenary session of the Russian Council Federation on April 12, the senators will take a decision on ratification of the agreement in military-technical cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan signed in 2016. The document aims to make the procedure of mutual military equipment supplies more effective.

Deputy director of the Russian Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation Vladimir Drojjov said that the issue of creation of the service centers in Uzbekistan is being discussed.

The agreement in military sphere will underline the high level of trustful relations and strengthen collective security in Central Asian region, noted the report.
