AKIPRESS.COM - Chinese ambassador to Kabul, Yao Jing in an interview with Ariananewssaid his country is trying to connect Afghanistan to Iran and middle Asian countries by railway.

Yao Jing declared Afghanistan and the One Belt, One Road project are very valuable for China in terms of economic.

Ambassador Jing said, “we need to include Afghanistan in our programs that we can succeed. Afghanistan is the connecting point to central Asia and south Asia.

The Ministry of Public Works says Afghanistan’s role is very effective in New Silk Road.

Spokesman of ministry of Public Works, Mahdi Rohani said, “the completion of one belt, one road project is very important for Afghanistan and Afghanistan will be a central connection point.”

Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) also said the completion of railway project in Afghanistan is very useful for the economic growth of the country.

Spokesman of ACCI, Sayam Pesarlay said, “the start of new silk road is very important and Afghanistan helps in investment and transit sectors. The government should also make further efforts in this field.”

China’s main goal, some experts say, is to improve regional security through development and economic cooperation.
