AKIPRESS.COM - Governor of Swiss National Bank Thomas Jordan arrived in Uzbekistan, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan said.

Mr Jordan met with the Chairman of Central Bank of Uzbekistan to discuss macroeconomic situation of the country and ongoing reforms in the banking and financial systems.

He received information about the measures being taken to further improve the investment climate and ensure the stability of the banking system.

Jordan said he's ready to support the Uzbek central bank's goal to liberalize monetary policy of Uzbekistan

Thomas Jordan also made a presentation on “Economic Conditions and Monetary Policy of Switzerland” at the Association of Banks of Uzbekistan for employees of the Central Bank and heads of commercial banks. He met with the senators and members of the government.
