
AKIPRESS.COM - President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on November 8 met with governor of St. Petersburg Georgy Poltavchenko.
The two discussed strengthening cooperation in agriculture, trade, science, light and pharmaceuticals industries.
Poltavchenko offered the Uzbek side the high quality agricultural machinery produced by Kirovskyi plant and expressed interest in import of Uzbek agricultural products.
The talks addressed other spheres of cooperation, including development of housing and utilities infrastructure, wastewater disposal, municipal transport and etc.
The trade turnover between Uzbekistan and St. Petersburg in 2016 increased by 35% compared to 2015 — 124.7 million.
