First plane from Afghanistan lands in Tashkent airport

AKIPRESS.COM - The first Kabul – Tashkent flight landed in the Tashkent international airport named after Islam Karimov on November 29, Uzbek media report.

Passengers from Afghanistan before used to fly to Tashkent only through Istanbul or Dubai spending 17-32 hours. Now they have an opportunity to get to Tashkent in an hour and a half.

The Tashkent International Airport acts as a hub airport, which will be used by Afghanistan's Kam Air passengers for connecting flights to Germany, the UK and other countries.

Uzbek airlines will soon start flrying to Afghanistan.
