Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan vow to open Osh — Tashkent flight

AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan agreed on opening the Osh — Tashkent flight, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev said during the meeting with President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov, UzA reports.

The sides also vowed to open the transport route and increase the number of flights between Tashkent and Bishkek twice.

"We need to increase the frequency of Bishkek — Tashkent flight," Mirziyoyev said.

The President noted that the two countries also have an agreement on railway route.

"There is a unique Lake Issyk-Kul in Kyrgyzstan. Our people wanted to open the flight, but we agreed that we will open the railway route to Issyk-Kul. Why should they travel far when our neighbors have such a god-given place. We made a great progress in transport sphere," he said.

Jeenbekov arrived in Tashkent on a 2-day official visit on December 13.
