
AKIPRESS.COM - Speaker of Mongolian Parliament M.Enkhbold laid wreaths at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and visited the Ho Chi Minh Museum and Temple of Literature on January 23 in Hanoi.
Following the event, M.Enkhbold met with Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
“I have participated in the 26th Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum and paying an official visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam at the invitation of Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim. During the visit, official talks ran, signing a memorandum of cooperation between legislative bodies of the two countries. Bilateral relations and cooperation have been developing successfully passing over 60 years. We consider Vietnam as Mongolia’s main partner in Southeast Asia,” he said.
Nguyen Phu Trong for his part appreciated Mongolia for its continued support to Vietnam during its period of Vietnamese struggle for liberation and a construction of new era, Monstame reported.
“High-level political relations have become sustainable, supporting each other actively in international arena. In addition, inter-parliamentary and educational sectors’ cooperation are developing well. Now, it needs to stimulate trade and economic relations, for which transportation barriers have to be solved first,” he pointed out.
