AKIPRESS.COM - President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov signed the law on amendments to the law of the Kyrgyz Republic on education, the President's press service said.
The law proposes a shift of schools from 6-day to 5-day academic week.
The law was passed by the Parliament of the country on January 10, 2018.
The amendments state that the transfer to a 6-day school week is explained due to the loads in state and municipal general education organizations.
The law comes into force 10 days after its official publication.
