Life in rural Kyrgyzstan: Local authorities demanding Osh woman raising 5 children to leave territory of cemetery

AKIPRESS.COM - A 40-year-old woman from Osh region, who raises 5 children and lives in the building for grave diggers near the territory of the cemetery at the outskirts of the city of Osh, claims that the rural administration is demanding her to leave the territory of the cemetery, Turmush reports.

According to her, the local authorities warned her that the family should not live on the territory of the cemetery anymore. While the woman says she has no idea where to go.

The rural administration, in turn, said that the family is registered as a family in difficult life situation. During the raid, it was established that the woman does not have any documents of her children. In this regard, the administration sent a letter to the Osh city's registration office for obtaining certificates of birth to the woman's children.

The administration added that it is difficult to find such kinds of families due to the lack of information about them, which leads to the problem in providing social aid to the families.
