Tens of thousands of starfish wash up dead on UK beach

AKIPRESS.COM - Tens of thousands of dead starfish washed up on a beach in the UK after temperatures plunged below zero amid the extreme weather which hit the UK, Mirror reported.

The staggering scene in Ramsgate, Kent, was described as being “like the armageddon” by wildlife enthusiast Lara Maiklem, 47, who snapped the phenomenon.

She claimed “hundreds of thousands” of the starfish and other sea life were washed ashore as Britain was battered by both Storm Emma and the Beast from the East.

Lara travelled to the beach with her five-year-old twins, Edie and Beau when she saw the sight.
