AKIPRESS.COM - A final declaration on the situation in Afghanistan has been adopted at the Tashkent Conference on Afghanistan on March 27, UzA reports.

During the summit, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that this conference held at the initiative of Uzbekistan and Afghanistan is a logical continuation of practical efforts of the international community on ensuring peace and stability in Afghanistan.

The forum is different from the previous international conferences, because it is aimed at finding specific solutions on the Afghan problem, he said.

The Central Asian countries are mostly interested in cooperation with this country. The Foreign Ministers of the regional countries at the event expressed their readiness to make efforts in this direction.

Following the conference, the participants signed the Tashkent declaration on ensuring peace and security in the region, strengthening cooperation in all spheres and further expansion of relations.
