Mongolian PM arrives in China, meets with Chinese Premier

AKIPRESS.COM - Prime Minister of Mongolia Ukhnaa Khurelsukh was welcomed April 9 in Beijing by Chinese Premier Li Keqiang, Mongolian state media report.

Following the welcoming ceremony, the two PMs held official talks, Montsame reports.

Li Keqiang said he hopes the visit will bring a new start to the relations between Mongolia and China. He said the two countries are very important neighbors.

Expanding mutual political trust, concrete cooperation and humanitarian exchanges are significant not only for bilateral relations, but also regional peace and development, he said.

Khurelsukh, for his part, congratulated his counterpart on re-election and expressed hope that the visit will have an important role in the bilateral relations and cooperation.

"We appreciate that the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and 13th National People’s Congress were organized successfully, determining China’s future development goals, declaring its new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics and defining mid and long-term development policy for improving people’s livelihood," Khurelsukh said.

The sides exchanged views on expanding strategic partnership, advancing mutually beneficial cooperation in politics, economy, trade and humanity, and regional and mutually interested international matters.
