AKIPRESS.COM - President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay his first official visit to the U.S. on May 15-17 at the invitation of the President Donald Trump, the President's press service said.

The two-day visit envisages high level talks that will address the Uzbek-American cooperation, important international and regional issues.

Mirziyoyev will also hold bilateral meetings in several ministries and the World Bank.

A joint statement and a package of cooperation documents are expected to be signed as a result of the official visit.
