
AKIPRESS.COM - Emergency response drill was held at the Bishkek heat and power plant.
The drill was aimed at advancing training and practical skills to prevent reactor short circuit amid harsh weather conditions (sharp drop in air temperatures) and fires in the electrical unit.
The staff members managed to timely execute the set tasks in accordance with the drill program.
"Such drills train the staff members the process control decision making and how to react to emergencies fast," the power plant said.
Major breakdown occurred in Bishkek CHPP on January 26, 2018 leaving the residents nearly without heating during the coldest since 2012 days. Daytime air temperatures downed to -25 degrees Celsius.
